New offices and a new identity
September 2009 Catalyst moves to new premises
Long Ashton Business Park

New Catalyst Office

We have now moved into our lovely new office premises in the country! Long Ashton Business Park (left) is formed from a group of converted 13th century farm buildings just inside the greenness of North Somerset and situated 'conveniently just 6 minutes from Bristol city centre' as the business park sign declares. We are told 3 Lyons Court used to be the pig sty – we think they must have enjoyed the natural-toned carpetting and ergonomic lighting!

Our closest neighbours are two horses (Scrumpy and Curlew) who live in the adjoining field. Whatever business they run there doesn’t seem to have much call for the on-site parking facilities - only when the blacksmith comes to change their shoes.

To the other side of the business park is a herd of cows who are somewhat less sociable than the horses as Chris found when, walking home from work one day across the fields, he was chased by a bull and forced to run for cover (a hedge.) On emerging from said safe spot he was then pursued by the remaining 20 cows until a handy stone wall presented itself for a quick escape back into the business park. We always like to make a good impression when we arrive at a new place! We are researching alternative routes and/or a cow whisperer.

October 2009 Catalyst's new identity
Catalyst has gone green! With our move to more rural office surroundings, we have decided to have an image re-vamp ourselves. We have been fond of our metallic ice blue logo and accompanying literature, inspired as it was by our harbourside premises but times they are a-changing (as Bob Dylan did not say about business re-locations) and we feel a new colour coming on.. So, what defines the new Catalyst - green! In the North Somerset high summer when all around was verdant, lustrous and bright, a new logo was born. As the seasons change and the ‘mists and mellow fruitfulness’ begin, the new Catalyst scheme reminds us of the trees in leaf and inspires us to create fresh, vivid designs for our esteemed clients. Of course it also serves the added purpose of making opening our invoices a pleasurable experience... New Catalyst stationery
